| Location | The New York State Veterans Home is located on the tree-lined campus of the Veterans Administration Extended Carte Facility in St. Albans, Queens. This modern multilevel facility is easily accessible by public transportation and provides free parking for staff. The staff provides the highest quality of care while treating each resident with dignity and respect. |

| Responsibilities | Provide primary health care working in collaboration with a licensed physician. You would assess the physical and psychosocial status of residents by means of interview, health history, physical examination and diagnostic tests. In accordance with a written practice agreement, protocols that include specialty areas and are agreed upon in advance by you and the physician of record, your work may include the diagnosis of illness and physical conditions and the performance of therapeutic and corrective measures. You may prescribe drugs, devices, and immunizing agents upon successful completion of a pharmacology program. You may also perform employee health examinations in accordance with the practice protocols. Supervision of subordinate staff may be required. |
