Lieutenant Governor and State Health Commissioner to Kick Off New York's Ovarian Cancer Awareness Campaign
Albany, September 24, 1999 – In an effort to increase the survival rate of women with ovarian cancer and their awareness of symptoms, Lieutenant Governor Mary Donohue and State Health Commissioner, Antonia C. Novello, M.D., M.P.H. will kick off New York State's Annual Sew For Survival Ovarian Cancer Awareness Campaign next week. This year's event, hosted by the Governor's Ovarian Cancer Information Advisory Council, will be held on Monday, September 27, 1999 at 12:00 p.m. in the State Capitol, Room 250 (Blue Room).
